Terms of Service

By accessing or using Questimate (“the Service”), operated by Industrial Assets Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Questimate is a web-based estimation tool that helps software teams conduct sprint planning through a gamified experience. The Service allows users to create estimation sessions, vote on story points, and optionally connect to third-party tools such as Atlassian Jira.

Session hosts authenticate via email magic link. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your email account. Guest users may join sessions without an account. You must not use the Service to impersonate another person or entity.

The Service allows you to connect your Atlassian Jira account via OAuth 2.0. When you connect Jira, you authorise Questimate to read issue data from your Jira instance and, if you choose, write story point estimates back to your issues. We store encrypted OAuth tokens to maintain your connection. You may disconnect at any time, which revokes our access and deletes your stored tokens.

We are not affiliated with Atlassian. Your use of Jira is subject to Atlassian’s own terms of service.

We collect and store the minimum data necessary to operate the Service: your email address, session data (encounter titles, votes, and results), and encrypted OAuth tokens for third-party integrations. Session data is retained for the duration of the session and may be exported by the host. We do not sell your data to third parties.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Industrial Assets Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated via the Service.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
